Since childhood, I have always been passionate about games – both physical and digital. I wasn’t satisfied with just playing; I enjoyed creating and modifying games for fun. This interest led me to learn programming at an early age, starting with RPG Maker and exploring tools like Delphi, Visual Basic, XNA, Allegro with C++, even developing browser games with PHP.
In university, I studied a Bachelor’s in Mathematics at UFAL, where I focused on academic research as a scientific initiation scholarship holder in Algebraic Topology. At the same time, I took courses at the Institute of Computing, where I deepened my knowledge in Computer Graphics, learning GLSL, and participated in a Machine Learning project as a research assistant. In this project, I trained algorithms to identify malignant tumors in lung CT scan images.
Near the final stages of my degree, during the pandemic, I decided to launch my first commercial game, Blockee. That experience was a turning point: I realized I could combine my passion for games with financial viability. Since then, I have fully dedicated myself to game development, creating and publishing five commercial titles available for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
My journey has provided me with a solid foundation in advanced mathematics, programming skills, and hands-on experience in game development and publishing. Each new project is an opportunity to tackle technical and creative challenges while connecting with players through well-designed systems and mechanics.
In summary: I am very curious and constantly strive to learn and dive deep into new topics, even if they are outside my main area of expertise.
